Preparation: |
Monoclonal antibodies were produced from a
hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells
obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant human
BMP-4.
|
Purification: |
This IgG2B antibody was purified by Protein
G affinity chromatography.
|
Formulation: |
Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution
in 0.5X phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) at pH 7.2.
|
Catalog #: |
SBH-ABMP4
|
Source: |
Mouse
|
Stability: |
The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater
than a year when kept at -800C.
|
Reconstitution: |
When reconstituted in sterile water to a concentration
of 0.5 mg/ml the antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-40C.
|
Applications |
|
ELISA: |
In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100μl/well),
a concentration of 1 μg/ml of this antibody will detect at least
0.5 ng/well of recombinant human BMP-4 when used with conjunction
with goat anti-mouse horseradish peroxidase (Jackson Laboratories).
|
Western Blot: |
To detect h-BMP-4 by Western Blot analysis
this antibody can be used at a concentration of 2 µg/ml. Used
in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection
limit for recombinant h-BMP-4 is 1.0 ng/lane.
|
Neutralization:
|
To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50]
of the biological activity of hBMP-4 (2 ng/ml), a concentration
of 2 - 4 µg/ml of this antibody is required.
