Description : |
Interleukin 12 (IL-12) is a regulatory protein produced by activated B lymphocytes and macrophages. The biological activities of IL-12 include the stimulation of growth of activated CD4+ and CD8+T cells and NK cells. Human IL-12 is a disulfide linked heterodimeric protein with a molecular weight of 70 kDa comprised of disulfide-bonded 35 kDa (p35) and 40 kDa (p40) subunits. |

Source : |
CHO cells ( Chinese Hamster Ovarian cells) |
Formulation : |
Sterile filtered and then the protein was lyophilized in 1 x PBS pH 6.8. |
Stability : |
The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -200C. Reconstituted Human IL-12 should be stored in working aliquots at -200C. |
Purity : |
Greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin level
is less than 0.1 ng per μg (1EU/μg).
|
Reconstitution : |
We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in 200 ul of sterile water for injection for 0.5 mg/ml concentration .
This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 40C for 3 months or below -100C for future use.
|
Biological Activity : |
Determined by its ability to stimulate alkaline phosphatase activity of recombinant HEK-293 reporter cells. The ED50 for this effect is < 1.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >1 x 106. |
