Preparation:

Monoclonal antibodies were produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, E. coli-derived, recombinant human IL-1 beta.

Purification:

This IgG1 antibody was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.

Formulation:

Lyophilized from a 0.2 mm filtered solution in 0.5X phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) at pH 7.2.

Catalog #:

SBH-AIL1b.

Source:

Mouse

Stability:

The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -800C.

Reconstitution:

When reconstituted in sterile water to a concentration of 1 mg/ml the antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-40C.

Applications

ELISA:

A 1:10,000 dilution of a 1mg/ml antibody solution will give satisfactory results in a direct ELISA using a rabbit anti-mouse second antibody conjugated to alkaline phosphatase (Jackson Labs).

Neutralization:

To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of h-IL-1b (10 μg/ml), a concentration of 4-8 μg/ml of this antibody is required.
