In Memory

SBH Partner & Friend, Eliezer Zomer, PhD.

With great sadness we inform the community of the passing of Eliezer Zomer, z"l, who passed away on February 8th, 2024.

Eli, known affectionately as "Eliko," was born in Tel-Aviv in 1946. Eli came to the US where he earned a PhD in Biochemistry.

Dr. Zomer was a scientist with over 40 years of proven leadership in biotechnology research, chemical engineering and drug discovery. This includes 30 years of extensive research and development in pharmaceuticals and clinical diagnostics, managing multiple programs for industrial and regulatory applications. Dr. Zomer had vast knowledge of scale-up manufacturing under GMP and GLP, method development, in-vitro diagnostic, validation and regulatory submission. In addition he worked in the development and submission of standard operation and validation protocols for regulatory approval in clinical, veterinary and agrochemical fields. Dr. Zomer was the author of numerous patents and papers on biotech and drug development, and was a Mentor at SBH.

We will miss him forever.
