Vivarium Services

In partnership with SBH Sciences, Caerus is providing access to our OLAW-accredited vivarium on a fee-for-service basis. Our ABSL-2 vivarium is fully equipped for the performance of rodent studies and includes racks for mice and rats, an in vivo imaging system with in-line anesthesia, a surgical suite, autoclave, and all equipment for routine surgical procedures. The Caerus Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) maintains approved protocols for murine models in areas of oncology, inflammation, metabolic disease, allergy, and autoimmune disease. Additionally, our team of experts will work with you to establish new models upon request. The Caerus vivarium staff perform daily animal checks, animal husbandry services, and communicate directly with our staff veterinarian, ensuring all studies are performed optimally and in full compliance with the Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals.

Upon sponsor request, new therapeutic agents are approved as an amendment to existing protocols or, if necessary, in the context of a new IACUC protocol. Sponsors are provided weekly updates on the status of their studies and a final report after study termination.
